The Type D2 stud/sleeve reels CAN use Type A2 handles (the hole is same octagon shape, just a few mm bigger)

THE EXCEPTION is that A2 CANNOT USE the D2 HANDLES:
A2 and D2 are different types because the stud tip shape/hole size are NOT the same, so the compatibility is only in one direction.
A2 reels CANNOT use D2 handles because the hole is just a smidge TOO small to fit the stud/sleeve
