GOLD FINISH MAY VARY
For all International reels, the gold finished items may vary in color/shade due to different manufacturing batches (and sometimes design changes, see individual reel notes). Exact matching is not possible.
PLATE IDENTIFICATION
The 20 and 30 international 27- side plates look almost identical, so it's easy for them to get mixed up if not labeled.
Identifying features based on the last 30 plate we had compared to the 20 plates in stock.
THE 3 HOLES FOR THE STAND
These are spaced wider on the 20 than on the 30, which is what makes them not interchangeable at all. The post holes are exactly the same, but the stand holes are not. When measuring, go to the three holes with a ruler, measuring the two outer holes of the three, from center to center.
The 27-20 outer stand holes are 54mm apart center to center
The 27-30 outer stand holes are 47mm apart center to center
SECONDARY IDENTIFIER
If you don't have a ruler handy, place the plate so that the stand holes are towards you, and look at the click pins at the center.
They are at different angles depending on which plate it is. See comparison photos above.
THE PLATES ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE
So be careful to identify the plate you have in hand or are purchasing carefully to make sure it's the correct one for your original 20 or 30 International reel.

If you do not find what you are looking for do a Google search with Mystic Reel Parts in the search with your model. I have a Penn 285 and 9 and it took me to the exact page for both. Also have the reel schematics.

I luckily found MysticParts via a Google search. Their website is comprehensive and I was at a loss on what I needed. Fortunately the “contact us” option was user friendly. To my delight I got a personalized and VERY helpful response right away. She asked questions to fully understand my needs and then followed up with links to the right parts.
