NOTES about reversible harness lugs
The 40 and 60 size reels have reversible harness lugs. These come factory installed in the turned down/inactive position. To reverse them so that they can be used:
- Non-Handle Side: Unscrew the plate and remove. Unscrew the harness lug and flip it over. Reinstall the plate.
- Handle Side: Unscrew the plate. Remove the handle and drag star. BE VERY CAREFUL to take note of the order and positioning of the washers as you lay them out on the bench. Once all of the washers are removed, you can gently remove the plate. Do this with the reel standing up on end, pull the plate straight off and everything should stay in place. You might have to put the yoke springs back on if they more. Unscrew the harness lug and flip it over. Reinstall the plate and the washers/handle components.
