Returns on international orders
There are NO international order returns or exchanges. Please be extremely careful in what you order at the time the order is placed if you are ordering from outside the USA.
Returns in the USA and Territories, including APO/FPO addresses.
For all orders shipped to the USA we can do returns/exchanges.
- You can return any new and unopened product to us for any reason for a full refund of the purchase price less shipping, as long as it is received at our warehouse within 30 days from the original date of sale.
- NOTE: As of 12/16/09 Clothing is non-returnable if original packaging has been damaged, opened or removed.
- We're sorry but we cannot accept used items for credit or refund.
- Shipping/handling will not be refunded.

How to Return an Item
Again, if the item has not been used or damaged and the original packaging has not been opened or destroyed it is returnable for orders in the USA.
Call 609-296-1300 or contact us to obtain a return authorization from our store.
PLEASE DO NOT send parts back in a standard envelope - use a box, even if it is a small one, or a padded envelope. Regular envelopes with parts get jammed in the postal sorters and arrive empty or the parts get damaged.
We WILL NOT credit for returns damaged by postal sorters or an empty envelope.
Restocking fee for return of Penn Reel Parts
- There is a restocking fee of $5.00 for all parts returns under $50.
- Returns of $50 or more in parts, the restocking fee is 10% of total return value.
Exchanges
- When an item is returned for exchange, a credit for the price paid for that item is applied towards the price of the replacement item(s).
- Any balance due for the replacement item(s) will be billed at the time of the exchange.
- Shipping (no handling fee as a courtesy) will be billed at the time of the exchange.
Picking Errors
- If we accidentally send an incorrect item, as does occassionally occur, Scott's Bait & Tackle may arrange, in its sole discretion, to retrieve the item at no charge to you for the retrieval.
- We will endeavor to obtain the correct part for you as well.
- This does not apply if a customer orders an incorrect part, in which case, it is the customers responsibility to return the item at their cost for exchange/refund.
Damaged and Defective Merchandise
Q: I received a defective/damaged Penn reel part in my order?
Any problems with new but defective Penn reel parts may be addressed to us only if the item in question was purchased directly from us.
"Defective" meaning damaged or manufactured incorrectly, not applying to a design change problem or a mis-ordered part.
Q: The item that I purchased was defective, OR The item I purchased has
since been broken, is it under warrantee and can I return it?
Scott's Bait & Tackle is not responsible for product warranty. Product warranty, if any, must be done through the manufacturer of the product, consult the warranty information issued with the item by the manufacturer. All warrantees must be handled by the manufacturer, under their terms. If you no longer have the paperwork that came with the item, consult the list of manufacturers available in our regular website by clicking here, or if it is not listed, contact us via the button at the top of this screen.
