Design change after first runs of the SSV series reels
IT AFFECTS: Housing, Housing Cover, Crosswind Gear and Crosswind Gear Screw.
Penn changed the diameter of the post in the housing, the i.d. of the matching crosswind gear that sits on it, the crosswind screw head diameter and the location of the connecting pins/holes between the housing and the cover.

We currently have none of the #45 covers that fit the housing with the 1/4" crosswind post inside. The pin holes do not line up between the two types of housings/covers. All of our current stock is compatible with the 5/8" crosswind post housing.
