80 Coventional REEL SPECS
REEL INFO: A free spool Universal salt water reel of standard size for deep sea, surf, pier, boat and bay fishing. The #80 was equipped with Penn's lightweight Easy-Cast spool which produced long casts and reduced backlashes. In addition, this reel was corrosion proof and a great line saver. (1950 Penn Catalog)
HISTORY: The 80 was one of Penn's popular salt water reels in the 1940's - 1950's, and also available as a left-handed model. In 1950 the price of this 12 oz. reel was $4.00. Like other older models, this reel was not part of a "series" of reels.
