IMPORTANT CHANGE FOR BATTLE Spinning Reels
Bailwire, Line Roller and Line Roller Bearing Changed in models BTL5000, BTL6000, BTL7000, BTL8000
The I.D. of the line roller was changed to permit use of a slightly large ball bearing. The tip of the bail wire where the roller and bearing sit was also slightly increased to accommodate the larger bearing.When ordering these parts, make sure to check the diameters, so that you get the parts that match your existing setup. You may also completely change over to new parts here if wished.

Using a regular ruler, rather than calipers, the bearing measurements are noted to assist with identification.With Original bail wires no longer available, conversion would need to be done. You can try searching the above wires on eBay first to see if there are any out there.

If you do not find what you are looking for do a Google search with Mystic Reel Parts in the search with your model. I have a Penn 285 and 9 and it took me to the exact page for both. Also have the reel schematics.

I luckily found MysticParts via a Google search. Their website is comprehensive and I was at a loss on what I needed. Fortunately the “contact us” option was user friendly. To my delight I got a personalized and VERY helpful response right away. She asked questions to fully understand my needs and then followed up with links to the right parts. We continued our email exchange regarding my second reel issue and, again, she was extremely knowledgeable and gave me both practical as well as professional solutions.
