More Info- A forged and machined aluminium spool sits on a 'live' spindle which allows it to 'free float' for reduced drag and increased performance.
- The spool is controlled by the all new patented adjustable magnetic brake which is adjusted by a dial on the left hand sideplate.
- The frame and sideplates are made from lightweight but strong graphite.
- The powerful 6 : 1 retrieve is provided by a large, high strength, marine grade, bronze, main gear which drives the stainless steel pinion gear
- The drag is an all new patented Versa-Drag system which uses HT-100 washers and has a poitive 'click' adjustment for precise control
- 6 shielded stainless steel ball bearings and anti reverse help ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Since you can't walk into Penn reels in Philly anymore, this is the next best thing. Thanks for your services!!!!! Even parts for vintage reels. Delivery is super quick as well.
10/23/2024 Easy to order parts and they shipped fast. Great seller! Hope to do business with them again! If you do not find what you are looking for do a Google search with Mystic Reel Parts in the search with your model. I have a Penn 285 and 9 and it took me to the exact page for both. Also have the reel schematics.

I luckily found MysticParts via a Google search. Their website is comprehensive and I was at a loss on what I needed. Fortunately the “contact us” option was user friendly. To my delight I got a personalized and VERY helpful response right away. She asked questions to fully understand my needs and then followed up with links to the right parts. We continued our email exchange regarding my second reel issue and, again, she was extremely knowledgeable and gave me both practical as well as professional solutions.
